Event overview

This one-day course has been designed to provide a broad overview of composite materials and their current uses in the oil gas sector.

It highlights some of the important advantages they offer compared to metallic materials and identifies the current barriers to increasing their use in offshore structures.

In particular, the course will focus on a number of key applications including pipework, gratings and bonded composite repairs.

Who should attend?

Structural Engineers, Safety Engineers, Materials/Metallurgy TAs or other personnel who need a more comprehensive overview of composite materials and how they can be used in offshore oil gas applications.
