Conference Overview

Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) will be the topic of a presentation and learning session given by Dawn Kenyon. Managing Director, RADCaT Ltd.

This presentation will look at the DSEAR regulations and explain what it is and why it is important in the workplace arena. The presentation will introduce the requirement for Classification of Hazardous Areas into Zones and what factors are considered when designating an area to a particular zone. It will also discuss the danger factors such as static, dust and vapour. This is a basic awareness session, with some practical examples as well as discussion opportunities for the group.

NMHSAG meet bi-monthly and are open to anyone who has an interest in Health Safety at Work, especially useful to SMEs. The meetings provide a positive opportunity for learning and updating HS information via presentations, speakers, group discussions, QA session and networking. There is no charge for attendance at meetings.
